Harvey Kinkle's return in 'Sabrina...' reboot confirmed

Los Angeles, Oct 8 (IANS): The first look at the dark "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" reboot confirms Sabrina's boyfriend Harvey Kinkles return.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed the first look at the potential new series, titled "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", by way of the first page of his script which reveals a new darker twist on the teenage witch.

Instead of being a half-mortal who discovers her powers when she turns 16, in this re-imagining from the team behind "Riverdale", Sabrina is a witch born in the middle of a forest who is preparing to accept her powers.

And Kinkle is back as her boyfriend, only in this series he will know all about Sabrina's magical abilities and her fight against the forces of evil, reports thesun.co.uk.

In the script tease, Sabrina tells him: "I... wanted you to see where I was born, Harvey.

"Not in Greendale General, like it says on my birth certificate. Here. In this grove of trees. Almost 16 years ago. And, uhm, where I'll be reborn this Saturday night. On my birthday.

"At the stroke of midnight. In the middle of a penumbral lunar eclipse. The kind that only happens once every 66 years. That's why I can't go to Rosalind's Halloween party this weekend."

Sabrina's iconic show ran for seven years, from 1996, and was based on the Archie Comics series of the same name.
