Kasargod: Pro Kannada organizations protest against anti Kannada writings

Kasargod, Nov 9: A procession to the office of deputy commissioner in the leadership of pro-Kannada organizations was taken out here on November 1 protesting against writings insulting Kannadigas at Kasargod Government College.

The protesters also urged the government of Kerala to provide protection to students of Kannada.

Karnataka Navanirmana Sena and Kasargod district Kannada Jagruthi Samiti led the protests. The procession started at Kasargod government college premises and concluded at the DC’s office.

Senior campaigner of Kannada, advocate Adoor Umesh Nayak inaugurated the rally after handing over Kannada flag to Karnataka Navanirmana Sena president Beema Shanker Patil.

Shivarama Kasargod, Guruprasad Kotekani, B Satyanarayana and Rajesh Alva led the procession.
