Mangaluru, Nov 9: Police personnel belonging to economic and narcotics crime department in the city, who found that a person was growing ganja in the flower pots placed in his courtyard, arrested the accused.
The arrested accused happens to be Joshua D'Souza (18), resident of Pandith House Santosh Nagar in Munnur village. The police raided his house on the basis of specific information. They found ganja plants being grown in two flower pots. Eight ganja plants weighing 74 grams were taken into possession. Value of these plants is said to be about two thousand rupees.
500 grams of ganja seeds were also confiscated on this occasion.
Police inspector of economic and narcotics crime department, Muhammed Shariff, sub-inspector, Latha and other staff took part in the operation.
