Money needs to keep changing hands just like how blood needs to keep flowing. Stagnant blood causes clot and so does money accumulated. These events create so much employment to people who may be otherwise not employable. It engages all from society and provides a purpose for all. People come together and feel belonged. This is a much better social system than a government welfare system. Of course, everything has to be in balance.
These are the kind of events/ rituals in Dakshina Kannada that separate us from rest, and the reason why our people are "rich" and always active. One rupee in Dakshina Kannada changes hands so quickly and the ripple effect makes the local economy so efficient and vibrant!
