Former F1 driver released from hospital

Orlando, Feb 8 (IANS): Former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after recovering from a vascular problem.

The 45-year-old was admitted to a hospital in Orlando, Florida, last Saturday after suffering from a severe migraine, reports Xinhua.

"Hi everyone. I just want to say that I'm going home," he wrote on social media.

Barrichello previously said the problem was related to a cerebral vein, but has provided no further details of the condition.

The Brazilian, who now races stock cars, represented Jordan, Stewart, Ferrari, Honda, Brawn and Williams in a Formula 1 career that spanned from 1993 to 2011.

He secured 11 victories and 68 podium finishes in 322 Grand Prix appearances.
