Mangaluru, Mar 5: Ephphatha, Center of Development, organizes awareness programmes for public in form of short films on various childhood disorders and early childhood education. This programme focuses mainly on the features, symptoms, assessment, intervention, management and treatment and various issues like Life difficulties, environmental and situational problem faced by disorders like Autism, ADHD, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Intellectual deficit, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Voice and Pronunciation Difficulties, Global Developmental Delay, Hearing loss etc.

The first short film on Autism by name WH AUTISM –A GIFTED CHILD was released on March 2 by Rayaton D’souza, speech language pathologist and Elenora Dehnugar, psychologist and behavioral therapist, and film was made available to view for the public with a message of providing confident and support to the parents of disorder children and also assured with similar short films on upcoming days by the director of trust Preema Lolita D’Souza.



Moreover all these events and situation are enacted to build the confidence and support for parents to work on their children, to build a friendly environment for the child so as to be an able, independent child, by providing the required intervention at an early age and to guide them for a successful environment.

Other early childhood education short films are also made to educate parents, preschool teachers and other childhood professional in order to build the career of the child successfully. Various teaching methods, special education, natural method of intervention serve their purpose.

Ephphatha looks forward for a pleasant outcome to serve and educate special children, parents and teachers.
