Udupi, Mar 6: Chetana Patil (46), head teacher of Little Star English Medium School, Yadady, was killed in an accident which happened on Saturday near the road divider opposite Mahesh Hospital, Brahmavar.
Chetana was riding her Honda Activa two-wheeler near the divider when a motor bike which came from the direction of Udupi hit her vehicle hard from behind. She fell to the road and suffered serious head injuries. Though she was shifted to Manipal hospital, she breathed her last the same evening.
Patil hailed from Bijapur and was serving as head teacher of the said school since the last 13 years. She was unmarried and residing at Matapady since the last five years.
