Udupi, Mar 7: “Chief minister Siddaramaiah and Congress party while in the opposition were criticizing Ashok Kheny and Nice Company and now have welcomed him with open arms into the party. With that they have entered into a ‘nice’ deal with MLA Kheny,” said Vidhan Sabha opposition leader and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar.

He was speaking at a programme held at Kaup market during ‘Jana Suraksha Yatra’ on Tuesday, March 6.

“Out of the chief ministers seen in the state, Siddaramaiah is the most misbehaved, corrupt and arrogant one. Karnataka is labeled as number one in corruption, murders of Hindus, criminal activities, and suicides of farmers. It is a great achievement of the government.

“The game of Congress gets over wherever Rahul goes. There is news that Rahul will come to Udupi. It is beneficial for BJP. It is said that Rahul will visit Krishna Math. Will Siddaramaiah also go to the math? If so, why has he not visited Krishna math so far? Do you remember Hindus and the Hindu temples now? The CM should clarify.

MP Shobha Karandlaje said that the murders of Hindus are increasing in the state since Siddaramaiah government came to power. “Sincere officials are committing suicide. Sincere officials get assaulted. They are also getting transferred. The police work as the puppets of the government. They work like the agents of ministers and MLAs. The government comes and goes, but the policemen are permanent. They should stop becoming puppets and work for the people.

“Uttar Pradesh was infamous as criminal state once. Congress and Samajvadi parties were responsible for it. The same name is coming to Karnataka also and Congress party will be responsible for it here too. Yogi Adityanath has announced war against criminals there. Siddaramaiah has nurtured criminals here. The administration similar to Uttar Pradesh should come to Karnataka also which only BJP can make possible,” he said.

MLA Sunil Kumar said that the life of Hindu youth in the coastal region has become disastrous. “Hindu youth that leaves in the morning is not guaranteed to return in the evening. They get killed if they wear saffron shawl. The home department which should protect them is quiet. We cannot afford to lose more activists. Activists need protection here. BJP needs to come to power for it. Therefore, we have conducted Suraksha rally” he said.

Vidhan Parishat member Kota Srinivas Poojary, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Raghupathi Bhat, BJP D K district in-charge Uday Kumar Shetty, Kaup in-charge Suresh Shetty Gurme, Udupi zilla panchayat president Dinaker Babu, vice-president Sheela K Shetty, Kaup municipal council opposition leader Arun Shetty Padooru, BJP district spokesperson Katpadi Shanker Poojary, Women's morcha district president Nayana Ganesh, district secretary Yashpal Suvarna, Kuthyar Navin Shetty, Kuiladi Suresh Nayak, Yuva morcha district president Sreesha Nayak, BJP municipal council committee president Sandeep Shetty Kalya, constituency secretary Jithendra Shetty and others were present.
