Mangaluru: Pedestrian waiting for bus killed in accident

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Raghunath Devadiga (54), who was waiting for a bus on the national highway in front of Srinivas Hospital at Mukka in the taluk on the night of Wednesday March 7 was killed after a car hit him.

Devadiga, who was waiting for the bus, was trying to cross the road when a car that was moving towards Suratkal from the direction of Udupi hit him. Devadiga, who fell onto the road, suffered injuries to his head, chest and waist. He was immediately rushed to Srinivas Hospital, Mukka. Without responding to treatment, he breathed his last at around 10.40 pm the same day.

A case relating to this accident was registered in the city (north) traffic police station.
