Mangaluru, Mar 26: The body of Joel D'Souza, who had gone missing while bathing in Netravati river on Sunday March 25 evening, was found on the afternoon of Monday March 26.

Joel D'Souza (27), a resident of Moodbidri, had gone to the river on Sunday evening along with his friends. It said that apart from swimming, Joel and his friends even tried their hand at fishing, and in the process, Joel was pulled away by the strong currents.

Though Joel knew swimming, the force of the water was too strong and he got washed away, it is learnt. His friends who were alarmed by the incident took the help of local fishermen and also informed the police.

The locals, the police and expert swimmers who conducted a search operation found his body a short distance from where he drowned. The fire personnel retrieved his body.

Kankanady police have registered a case.

Knowing swimming lost his life means death can come any time and any moment. Always while hearing these type of news I am thinking boys should not go to the river or sea for swimming or bathing.

Young generation not bothered about their family and their own life. Now they went for ever leaving scar in the minds and memories of their family.

    RIP BROTHER
