Bengaluru: Recovery of voter IDs - court orders non-bailable case against Muniratna

Bengaluru, May 12: Regarding recovery of large number of voter identity cards from a flat in Jalahalli within Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency here where MLA, Muniratna, is fighting the election as Congress candidate, the 24th additional metropolitan magistrate's court here ordered Jalahalli station police to register case under non-bailable provisions of law.

A person named Rakesh had filed application questioning the action of Jalahalli police in registering case under bailable provisions of the act. The court which heard the arguments,  asked the police to register cases under section 420, 468, and 471 of Indian Penal Code against all the accused.

After large number of voter identity cards were found from a flat in SLV Apartment in Jalahalli on May 8, workers of BJP and Congress had fought with one another. The Jalahalli police who registered the case, had registered bailable case against Muniratna. Rakesh had questioned this action through a private complaint.

    Who created these Voter ID's .... and why it is found in bulk here.... Sometime back even in Mangalore City corp. Election comm. Office thousands of filled Voter Applications found without returning the acknowlegment Signed to the person who applied for it.... Is this FAKE ELECTION ID Creting racket active in this Office... Common man should know... and concerned Officer should be questioned....
