Bantwal, Jun 8: Mistakes committed by evaluators during evaluation of SSLC answer scripts get exposed during requests for revaluations. Soon after a student of a private school in Panemangaluru got more marks after revaluation, a failed student of Mani Balavikas English medium school not only passed, but also registered 100% result for the school.

Balavikas English Medium School student Ayishat Rashika Arangala had secured 18 marks in written examination and 17 in project work in social science in the recently concluded SSLC examination for the academic year 2017-18. As all the other students in the school had passed and she was the only student who had failed, the school had recorded a pass percentage of 98.50%. The school administration and teachers who were expecting 100% result were left disappointed.

Rashika applied for revaluation after persuasion from her parents. Rashika has secured 6 additional marks during revaluation helping Balavikas English Medium School record 100% result.

The problem was solved as the mistakes of giving less marks than allotted for answers by evaluators earlier was set right during revaluations. Incidents such as this show that students suffer due to mistakes of evaluators.
