Moodbidri, Jun 16: The educational conglomerate with multi-faceted vision in cultural and social domains, Alva’s Education Foundation, is all set to host the decennial edition of the mega placement drive, Alva’s Pragati 2018 on July 6 (for initial selections) and 7 (for final rounds of selections) at Vidyagiri Campus, Moodbidri.
The foundation, which has been successfully conducting Alva’s Pragati for the last nine years, is geared up for the decennial edition this time. Pragati 2018 features participation of top recruiters representing major sectors such as IT, ITeS, manufacturing, healthcare and pharma, sales and retail, automobile, banking and finance, hospitality, education and NGO. These sectors offer a large number of openings to graduates and post graduates in various streams like medical and para-medical, engineering, arts, commerce and management, basic sciences, nursing, ITI, diploma, skilled manpower with PUC and SSLC and other qualifications. Prominent training firms will also take part in the drive.

• Registration is open to all candidates only on day one of Alva’s Pragati namely July 6
• Manufacturing sector featuring Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd, Toyota Industries Engine India, Ajax Fiori, Toshiba Mitsubishi- Electric Industrial Systems Corporation, Al Cargo Logistics, Indo-US MIM Tech, Kaynes Technologies has a large number of job openings this year for BE Mechanical, Diploma and ITIs.
• LM Wind Power and Bharat Fritz Werner will be hiring female candidates in large numbers for BE Mechanical and Diploma Mechanical/ Electrical qualifications.
• Gulf Multinational Companies like NMC Healthcare, UAE Exchange, Fortune Group of Hotels have confirmed their participation.
• Reputed banks such as HDFC, ICICI and Axis Banks have confirmed their participation for graduates and post-graduates.
• Prominent companies that will hire MBAs include Oracle, Cafe Coffee Day, Ninja Cart, Innova Diesel Generators Pvt Ltd, Maniranjan Diesel Sales and Service Limited, Raymonds- Silver Spark Apparel Ltd.
• Oracle is hiring for Mumbai and Bengaluru locations for MBA, BCom, BBM, BSc qualifications.

Alva’s Pragati 2018 expects a participation of 200 companies this year and around 15,000-20,000 aspirants are expected to participate within the state and adjoining states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and others. In 2017, 208 companies and 16,000 students had participated and 1,058 spot offers were made. 2,918 students were shortlisted for various profiles in prestigious companies.
