Mangalore: Kerala ex-minister, MP Visit Attacked Churches

Mangalore, Sep 25: Leaders from Kerala state, ex-minister P J Joseph, MP Francis George and Karnataka State Malayali Christian Association president and advocate A C Jayaraj visited Dakshina Kannada district in connection with the attacks on centres of prayer located in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chickamagalur districts, recently.

They visited Ujire St George church, Milagres church in Mangalore Falnir and the Sisters of Adoration Monastery near Milagres church and consoled the affected people.

The MP assured that he would raise the issue of the government-sponsored attacks launched against the churches both in Orissa and Karntaka states in the parliament and fight for the cause of the people and prayer centres that came under attack.

    it is nice to see Kerala politicians in Mangalore and Ujire, that shows their solidarity with each other that we Mangaloreans should always learn from them.

    Good to see the solidarity from the Kerala politicians cutting across party lines. The people of Kerala are very progressive and broadminded compared to the narrow minded backward looking BJP supporters in Karnataka
