Mumbai: 'Voice of Billava' final round singing competition held

Mumbai, Jul 2: The Yuvabhyudaya sub committee of Billavara Association on Sunday morning, July 1 held the final round of 'Voice of Billava' singing competition and presentation of prizes at Billavara Association auditorium, Santacruz.

President of Gujarath Billava Sangha, Manoj C Poojary was chief guest.

Billavara Association president Nithayananda D Kotian who chaired the programme, Manoj Poojary and social worker Sharada Sooru Karkera lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme. Out of 82 participants 26 participants took part in the final round. Manoj Anand, Rajeshwari K, Sruthi Nayak and Avinash Kamath were the judges.



Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industries president N T Poojary, Ramaraja Kshatriya Seva Sangha Mumbai president Rajkumar Karnad, Soorath Billavara Association vice president Vishwanath Poojary Kuriala, Bharath Bank director Gangadhar J Poojary, association vice president Raja V Salian, Shanker D Poojary, Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, Purushotham S Kotian, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkal, women's wing president Shakuntala K Kotian and musician Ranjan S Suvarna were present. Veteran musician Navin N Suvarna was felicitated.

Rajkumar commended that it was a nice programme providing opportunities to talent. He congratulated all the participants and entertained the audience with his own singing. Film actress Komal Mahuvakar gave away prizes to winners and wished them well.

Santhosh Poojary and party sang a prayer song. Yuvabhyudaya committee leader Nilesh Poojary Palimar welcomed everyone. Akshay Poojary introduced the felicities.

Lathesh M Poojary conducted the competitions. Yajnesh Salian read the list of participants. Association honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan introduced the guests and compered the programme. Yuvabhyudaya honorary secretary Umesh N Kotian proposed the vote of thanks.
