Mangalore: SCDCC Bank Announces Dividend of 11.5 Percent

The South Canara District Central Co-operative (SCDCC) Bank has announced a dividend of 11.5 percent to share holders of co-operative financial institutions on Saturday September 27. SCDCC has earned a profit of Rs 6.45 crore for the year 2007–08.

The Bank has been commended for its unique contributions and achievement, said M N Rajendra Kumar, chairman, SCDCC Bank, while speaking at the annual general body meeting of the bank held at their head office on Saturday. 
 
SCDCC Bank was the first ever co-operative bank to fully computerize all its 53 branches and provide online, anywhere, banking. facilities.  It also introduced mobile banking facilities to rural customers in undivided Dakshina Kannada district. 

It has achieved a turnover of Rs 1,228 crore during the financial year. The Bank has bagged the annual award from state Apex Bank for the ninth consecutive year, which is testimony of the trust of its customers, added Kumar.
 
The award for cent percent loan recovery was also awarded to SCDCC Bank on the occasion. SCDCC Bank deputy chairman N Ramesh Shetty, directors Vinay Kumar Sorake, B Annappa Hegde, B Niranjan, A Jeevan Bhandary, T B Rajaram Bhat, M Vadiraj Shetty, Bhaskar S Kotian, B Raghuram Shetty, and T Raghav Shetty, were present on the occasion.
 
General director P Narayan Kamat welcomed the gathering.  Director K S Devaraj proposed vote of thanks.  Deputy general manager Laxman Kumar Mallur compered the programme.
