Mumbai, Nov 4: Sri Niranjana Swami of Sri Ambika Annapoorneshwari temple, Sath Rasta in the metro and Sri Annapoorneshwari temple, Mangalore, inaugurated the stage shows of ‘Kebi Pittale’, a Tulu play by Devdas Kapikad’s ‘Cha Parka’ troupe, in the city on Saturday November 1.
The maiden show of the play was staged at the Karnataka Sangh Dr Vishweshwarayya auditorium, located at Matunga (West) on Saturday evening. It was a fundraiser for the renovation of the Sri Bhagavati Chamundi temple, Bambrana–Kumble.
The stage programme was presided over by entrepreneur and social worker U Devadiga.
Bhandary Seva Sangh president Balakrishna P Bhandary, Thiyya Samaj president Chandrashekar Belchada, Chandrashekar Palettady, editor, ‘Karnataka Malla’, hotelier Babu S Shetty, U Mohandas Shetty, Rohidas Bangera, K P Arvind, and Suresh S Bhandary, were present on the occasion.
Sri Niranjana Swami honoured Timmappa Bangera, Ravi Manjeshwar, Krishna Salian, Navin Suvarna, R K Suvarna, Naveen Shetty, Babu Belchada, Narayan M Belchada, Naveen K Inna, Devdas Kapikad and others with floral bouquets.
Naveen K Inna welcomed the gathering and Babu Belchada proposed the vote of thanks. Cha Parka troupe metro convener Karnoor Mohan Rai compered the programme.
