Mangaluru: SJEC donates toward flood victims of Kerala, Kodagu through 10k marathon-run

Mangaluru, Oct 11: The department of Business Administration at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, here recently raised Rs 73,000 through 10k marathon-run for humanity, toward helping the flood victims of Kerala and Kodagu.

Dr Rio D’Souza, principal, Dr Prakash Pinto, dean- department of Business Administration, Vinish P, faculty coordinator along with student coordinators visited the deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday October 9 and handed over the cheque to tahshildar N Manikya as per the advice of Sasikanth Senthil, district commissioner.

Earlier, the marathon received thumping participation from both student community and the general public.

The mayor of Mangaluru, Bhaskar Moily appreciated the initiative by the institution.
