Bengaluru: DCM Parameshwar threatens to suspend ZP officials at KDP meeting

Bengaluru, Nov 6: Dr G Parameshwar, DCM and home minister, took to task the officials who attended the Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting without any preparation and incomplete information, that was held on Monday, November 5, at the premises of the zilla panchayat office in the city.

Warning the officials in a strict tone, Dr Parameshwar said, "In the next meeting everyone has to attend with information of at least previous five years. Otherwise, I will suspend the concerned officer on the spot. This is applicable to all including deputy commissioner (DC) and CEO."

In the meeting that was held from 12 noon to 5.30 pm to assess the progress of development officials of every department were giving the same answer of 'I do not know. I will see Sir. I will provide Sir'. The minister who got irated by these answers expressed his anguish and questioned "Why you have come for the meeting if you are answering in this fashion? Did you come to show your face? Is the KDP meeting a child's play for you people?"
