Bengaluru, Nov 30: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, has said that the long-expected ministry expansion will take place before the beginning of the winter session of the state assembly at Belagavi on December 10.

He said that opinions of leaders of both the coalition partners would be gathered and a decision would be taken at the earliest.

Speaking to media persons at the KPCC office on Thursday November 29, he said that the ministry expansion will not be put off till the session ends. "Belagavi session will begin on Decmeber 10, and ministry expansion will take place before that. Discussions will also be held with K C Venugopal in addition to other leaders," he clarified.

Speaking at Bagalkot, rural development minister, Krishna Byre Gowd said that both the Congress and JD(S) are enthusiastic about ministry expansion and that there is possibility of this exercise happening before the beginning of Belagavi session of the assembly. He said that the leaders are already discussing the matter and the expansion is likely to happen at the earliest.
