Hassan, Nov 30: Congress leaders from the district are fed up at the autocratic behaviour of PWD and district-in-charge minister, H D Revanna. They have decided to hit back at the minister for ill-treating Congressmen.

Over 350 district level leaders of the party led by district Congress president, Javagal Manjunath, and MLC Gopalaswamy, met former chief minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, water resources minister, D K Shivakumar, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gundu Rao. They are learnt to have handed over a detailed complaint to them against Revanna.

The leaders have also made a strong case for fielding Congress candidate in the coming Lok Sabha election. While pointing to various matters in which they feel Congress party and leaders have been sidelined and humiliated, they have said that the minister is not upholding the bounden duty to give equal importance to coalition
partner. They have lamented the fact that Congress workers are not getting any positions of importance in the district and JD(S) is cornering all the posts.

Siddaramaiah is learnt to have promised the party leaders that the issue would be taken up at the coordination committee meeting and it would also be discussed with chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy.

H D Revanna in the meanwhile, asserted that he has not imposed his opinion or forced anyone to buckle under his pressure. "I have been only doing work relating to my department. If there are problems, and if Siddaramaiah wants to discuss with me on the issue, I am prepared for the same," he clarified.
