Bantwal, Dec 3: A person died and three others got admitted into a hospital in an accident involving two motor bikes. Two motor bikes collided with each other late night on Saturday December 1 at Padavu Sthala in Ira village in the taluk.

Yogeesh (24) from Manchi village lost his life in this unfortunate accident. Injured Raveesh (21), Ganesh (24), and Ashwath (22), who were injured, were admitted into a hospital. All of them happen to be locals.

Yogeesh, who used to undertake works on contract basis, was unmarried. He was the only son of his parents who have three daughters.

The tragic accident happened when the bike-borne youngsters were returning together in two motor bikes after witnessing an exhibition going on near Mudipu village. It is said that the motor bike driven by Yogeesh that was ahead, skidded all of a sudden. Instantly, the motor bike driven by Ganesh, that was immediately behind, dashed into the fallen motor bike resulting in this tragedy. Locals rushed the injured to a private hospital at Deralakatte immediately after the accident, but the life of Yogeesh could not be saved.

Traffic station house officer at Melkar here, Manjula K M, has registered a case. Investigation has been undertaken.
