Beltangady, Dec 4: ICYM Madanthyar on December 2 organized a 'Voviyo' training programme at Sacred Heart Church hall for all the parishnoers of Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar.

Fr Basil Vas, parish priest of Sacred Heart church was the president of the inaugural programme. The asst parish priest Fr Alwyn Dsouza was present on the dais. The members of 'Konkani Matov Mangalore', James Dsouza and Reena Dsouza were the guests of the programme. The secretary of the Parish Council Leo Rodrigus and president of ICYM Madanthyar Ronson Veigas were also present on the dais.

The guests inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The president of ICYM, Ronson Veigas welcomed the guests and the gathering. Fr Basil Vas delivered the message on spreading Konkani as a language and its culture among the present generation.

There were about 150 members present at this programme. The secretary of ICYM Madanthyar Lavita fernandes delivered the thanksgiving speech. ICYM member Ashwini Moras was the host of the programme.
