Kundapur, Dec 5: A dead body of a man who had converted from Hinduism to Christianity about ten years ago was found in a mosque toilet at Al-Falah mosque, Gangolli on Tuesday morning December 4.
The deceased is identified as Koni, Kundapur resident Suresh Mogaveera (35). Gangolli police visited the spot and conducted investigations.
It is said that there were fights at his residence after his conversion. Therefore, he left the house and worked on daily wages doing odd jobs like washing vehicles, painting etc.
He was an alcoholic and was sick for the last four days, but he did not give up drinking. It is said that his death might have occurred when he went to relieve himself in the toilet. Police sources said that a case will be registered after his brother arrives to the spot.
