Kasargod, Dec 8: Amanulla alias Kaka (40), resident of Ruksana Manzil in Kubanuru within the limits of Mangalpady gram panchayat in the district was handed down ten years rigorous imprisonment (RI) relating to a case of sexually harassing a minor girl. This sentence was announced by the additional district and sessions court (first) here.
Amanulla has also been ordered to pay fine of one lac rupees. If he fails to pay fine, he will have to spend two more years behind the bars. The amount of fine has been ordered to be disbursed to the victim by way of compensation.
The court also said that the victim is eligible to claim compensation additionally out of the compensation scheme of the government.
Kumble police had registered a case against the accused, now pronounced guilty, for allegedly sexually harassing a six-year-old girl on October 31, 2015.
