Naseeruddin Shah calls Virat Kohli ‘World’s worst behaved player’; fans hit back

New Delhi, Dec 18 (NIE): Not too long ago, Virat Kohli was trolled for a video where the Indian skipper asked a fan to leave India. The comment was made during a promotional video where the 30-year-old bashes the fan who said that he liked English and Australian batsmen more than the current Indian players. While Kohli was slammed for his comment, late to join the bandwagon is actor Naseeruddin Shah, who recently took to social media commenting on the cricketer’s behaviour.

“Virat K is not only the worlds best batsman but also the worlds worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way,” read a post by Shah. It did not take long for people to notice the post, which garnered mixed reactions from people on social media.

While most people slammed Shah for calling Kohli the “worst behaved player”, others defended Kohli stating that to beat the Australians “This kind of aggression is needed”. However, many also agreed with Shah in criticising the cricketer.

It is Nasiriddin's personal opinion. He needs to make such statements in front of his family.
Everyone knows how to judge Kohlis behaviour. No one needs Nassiruddin's opinion on Kohli.

Even since he engineered replacing Anil Kumble as coach, I have rated him more as a politician than a player.

May be he has some good records of run getting. That does not give him the behave this way. Needs to be sacked from captaincy.

Otherwise he will play for his own hidden agenda just like great Tendulkar. Selfish politicians, earning so much from public money and not even willing to pay duty on imported car.

Koli is the worst behaved player India ever had. There were great players than him like Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Dravid, Richards, Lara, Sobers, AB de Villiers, Khalis Imaran Khan etc but none of them behaved like this man. He is survived fully on luck on his side.

Luck can only help you some...………….and therefore your statement is totally wrong. There is absolutely no doubt that he is a fantastic cricketer and the best in the world today. Time and again he has proven this. However his behaviour on the field is a totally different matter altogether. If on the one hand we can describe his cricketing skills as astounding, fantastic, sublime and great then his behaviour can be described in exactly the opposite as worst, rubbish, rotten. Just don't mix up the two.

Kohli's passion for the game is second to none. He takes every game, even against a weak opposition seriously and holds great respect for the game which has made him what he is. Nobody will disagree here and game after game he proves this by his performance. However, his behaviour on the field is at times questionable.

Aggression is needed on the field and nobody will question aggression against teams like Australia who sledge the opposition relentlessly and cry like babies when they are at the receiving end. Ganguly was one aggressive captain who took teams like the Aussies head on and was applauded for that. Kohli at times overdoes the aggression part and that gives that world an ugly image of him. I think he should curtail himself here and act within the boundries of aggression.

What ever my be the case , I too watching the cricket match but very sad to tell that Virat Kohli 's behaviour is like uneducated and childish. Like playing local rubber ball matches. No decency while on field. Cricket is a gentleman game. I am pitty about Kohli. His batting may be excellent but on fielding time no decency.

Actors need to stick to just acting instead of talking about men who are making the country on a regular basis .Your opinions are not going to do any good for the country but Virat's batting does .

HENRY MISQUITH, Bahrain, you should also serve your country instead of serving Bahrain. Henry, so whatever Naseerruddin shah said is really right, beside that Naseer in the end said he is not going to leave the country... Do you know why? because this is the same Virat he asked someone to leave the country i hope you remember that.

Shah is second to none when it comes to arrogance.
Years before a movie had to be stopped midway and did not see the light of the day as this egoistic, but superb actor took his ego to the next level and fought with the production manager.
All the celebrities, sports stars and people who occupy positions of power in society have this attitude and it is more common, sorry to say, in north indians

    Dear Mr. Henry,

Nothing wrong in expressing their individual thoughts, everyone does it. People comment about a lot about Modi, Rahul, Shah etc, so whats wrong if Mr. Nasser expressed his view on Kohli ? maybe it will change Kholi for good ... who knows.... as long as King Kohli scores centuries and win matches for India anybodies views doesnt matter ... Cheers to King Kohli and team India...

    Jai Hind..
