Mangaluru: Annual day of Gopalakrishna primary school, Shakthi residential school and college held

Mangaluru, Dec 24: The annual day of Gopalakrishna primary school, Shakthi residential school and Shakthi pre-university college was held on December 22. 

Dr TMA Pai college convenor Mahabaleshwara Rao inaugurated the programme. Addressing the gathering he said, "Students from various districts come to Shakthi school which is imparting value based education. Earlier it was not easy to get education for various reasons especially due to poverty and lack of power supply. Today schools are not facing such problems. Also students need not go to places outside Mangaluru as there are enough schools and colleges." 

He also congratulated the founders of Shakti school on the occasion. 



Sanjith Naik, secretary of Shakthi school who presided over the programme thanked the teaching, non-teaching staff and administrative board for helping the school to reach greater heights. 

Former vice-president of MRPL V K Talithaya said that Shakthi school is giving education of international standard. 

Mangaluru Campco director Krishna Prasad Madthila also spoke on the occasion.

Winners of various contests and sports were given away prizes on the occasion. 

Gopalakrishna temple head K C Naik, trustee Saguna C Naik, school trustee Muralidhar Naik and others were present. 

The annual report was presented by Gopalakrishna primary school convenor Neema Saxsena, Shakthi school principal Vidya Kamath and Shakthi college principal Prabhakara G S. 

School administrative officer Baikady Janardhana Achar welcomed and development officer Nasim Banu rendered the vote of thanks. Teachers Swathi and Divyashree compered the programme. 

Later, cultural programme was held.
