Mangaluru, Jan 5: In connection with ISA project 'Honour Labour Today and Everyday' an inter–house quiz competition was organized at Lourdes Central School on January 4 for the students of Class IV.

Four students from each house namely Opal, Coral, Jade and Amber were selected for finals based on their performance in the preliminary round. The students had geared up with knowledge on dignity of labour in countries Australia, Japan, Tanzania and India for a promising performance and filled the air with their vibrant enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the universal prayer.

The vice principal Belita Mascarenhas wished the participants good luck.

Quiz began with an introduction of the quiz masters from grade XI and the contestants from each house. The rules of the competition were made known to the participants. The quiz had 3 rounds namely answer round, visual round and buzzer round.

The competition was conducted in a systematic way. The students were excited to be part of the competition. Coral House won the competition scoring 60 points, followed by Opal House with 40 points.

At the end some questions were put forth for the audience students and the one with the right answer was awarded with chocolates. Parents expressed their joy on the knowledge acquired by the students on dignity of labour.

It gave the students a chance to showcase their knowledge and understanding on the topic ‘Digntiy of Labour’ practiced all around the world.

The quiz masters – Nilisha D’Sa, Akhil; G Aaron Monteiro and Austin D’Cunha organized the entire show meticulously under the guidance of the teachers in charge Vaishakhi Bhat and Deepika Fernandes.
