France's Pavard signs with Bayern

Berlin, Jan 9 (IANS): France World Cup defender Benjamin Pavard has signed with Bayern Munich, the club announced on Wednesday.

The Stuttgart player signed a five-year contract and will join Bayern on July 1, the team said.

Pavard, 22, played six games for France to win the World Cup this summer.

Pavard joined Stuttgart from Lille in 2016 and helped them to Bundesliga promotion in 2017.
