Kundapur: Twist to Constable Death Incident - Two Arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Feb 6: A constable named Bhaskar (32) attached to Shankarnarayana police station near here, who reportedly was busy collecting bribe from ore truck drivers by forcing an engineering student to block the road with his motor bike on Balebare Ghat road near here on January 27, had earned the wrath of the public after one of the trucks moved forward and crushed the youth to death.  The constable died the same day after being hospitalized, and the people had set afloat various theories about the incident, some even claiming that the constable died due to high blood pressure out of  overwhelming feeling of guilt.

The police think otherwise. On the basis of post-mortem report of the constable, they have picked up threads of the case again. They say that it has now come to light that Bhaskar died of internal injuries caused after the members of the irate public severely beat him up.

They have arrested Ganesh (26), son of Nagappa Gowda from Nagar on Balebare Ghat road and Harish alias Shambhu (25), son of Hosangady Karnataka Power Corporation employee Siddappa Gowda. Police sources said that others involved in the case will also be arrested shortly.

It is sad that that the Engineering student got killed by this stupid constables actions (The action was un-intentional!!! It is equally sad that young constable was also killed in the same issue. It is natural that people get angry and take law in their hands. Both the actions were un-intentional, but very very sad.!!!
