Mangalore: State Government Releases Fund to City Corporation

Mangalore, Feb 12: The state government released the fund of Rs 100 crore to each seven city corporations of the state including Mangalore. The foundation for the vented dam project of worth Rs 48.16 crore will be laid on Monday February 16, said Krishna J Palemar, district-in-charge minister, speaking after inaugurating the concrete road of Rs 12.6 crore near Suratkal.

Around 900-metre-length and 14-metre-wide road is been concreted near Kulai-Honnakatte with an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore, while the road from Katipalla Shamshuddin Circle to Krishnapur will cost Rs 4.28 crore and Hosabettu Junction to Master in plant of worth Rs 2.14 crore was completed with the foundation laying ceremony.

He further explained the upcoming works and promised to complete the concreting of 200 kilometre road in five years.

Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu, Shakila Kava, deputy mayor and other corporators were present on the occasion.
