Mangalore: Life-imprisoned Convict Found Murdered During Parole Term

Mangalore, Feb. 16:
A person who was convicted with life imprisonment in a murder case, was found murdered near Abbakka  Nagar, Kottara in the city limits, at around 2 am on Monday February 16.
  
Murdered Sunil was a resident of Jalligudde in Kottara. He was attacked while he was returning after attending a Nemotsava ritual near Kottara. He was accompanied by three of his friends, Gajaraj, Nishanth and Rama when they were attacked. The three have been admitted to a private hospital in the city with injuries.

The above three have identified two of the five attackers, and said that the three other faces were unfamiliar to them.

The assailants had attacked Sunil with sabre and other lethal weapons. Sunil, who sustained several injuries to his body, died on the spot. Sunil had been released by the jail authorities recently on parole for a month.
   
Sunil was convicted to life imprisonment in financier Kuppuswamy murder case.  Five years ago, Kuppuswamy was murdered after being abducted. Three of accused were sentenced to life imprisonment along with Sunil, and lodged in Mysore jail.
 
The policemen attached to Urwa station in the city got the information about the incident at about 3 am on Monday, as the murder reportedly occurred an hour earlier. A case has been registered in Urwa police station.
