Mangalore: Case against Renuka Chowdhury - Court Reserves Orders

Mangalore, Feb 18: The local court, in which a criminal case registered by City Corporation mayor Ganesh Hosabettu on Monday February 16 is being heard, has reserved its orders on the admissibility of the case, to Wednesday February 18.

The case, registered by the mayor along with some others in the court of the chief judicial magistrate here, had been posted for hearing on Tuesday and transferred to the court of court No 3, junior magistrate first class.

On behalf of the complainants, advocate P P Hegde appeared in the court on Tuesday and presented his arguments. The court, after hearing his plea, reserved its orders for today.

When questioned, lawyer P P Hegde informed that ministers do not enjoy any special protection as far as criminal cases are concerned.

    Mr mayor, instead of registering the case against minister renuka chowdury,why can't you register case against the people who asaulted the young girls(somebodies daughters)if you love your daughter,where as proof is shown on the tv very clearly. There is no need to wait for anybodies complaints to be registered.
