Mangaluru: Bishop blesses renovated building of Holy Spirit Church in Mukka

Mangaluru, Apr 14: Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangaluru blessed the renovated church building of Holy Spirit Church, Mukka on Friday, April 12.

After the blessing, the bishop and parish priest Fr Cyril Pinto celebrated the holy mass along with parishioners. In his solemnly the bishop said, "It is the day to say thanks to God for his all blessings on this parish. The Catholic faith made you stay united and serve the society. Buildings are not permanent. It has a period of validity. But faith in God is permanent. We have to convert our hearts as temples for God. When he starts living in our heart, miracles will happen in our life."

Fr Cyril Pinto and members of parish council received the bishop at the Church premises. In his vote of thanks Fr Cyril said, "With help of parishioners and donors we completed the renovation of the Church. The renovation is the memorial project of our golden jubilee year celebrations. On May 4, we are celebrating the valedictory of the jubilee year. I thank all who have become part of our jubilee year projects and celebrations."

Apart from parishioners a large number of devotees around Surathkal region were present for the blessing ceremony and Holy Mass.
