Bangalore: BJP Final List on March 23

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Mar 19: Addressing a press conference held here on Wednesday March 18, BJP national leader Venkaiah Naidu informed, that the final list of the party candidates for the remaining four Lok Sabha constituencies in the state will be released on the 23rd of this month.

He also said, the Congress and other parties have lagged behind in releasing their lists because of the persisting confusion about the choice of candidates and lack of candidates with winning potential. "We have been able to bring out lists as the party is guided by proactive leadership and clear policies, he claimed.

About the criticisms being levelled about the state government's performance, he challenged the critics for an open debate on the issue. Naidu also criticized the Congress and the JD (S) for demanding a ban on Hindu Samajotsav, saying that the event is a programme where Hindus come together and that it is just like any other religious celebration.

About the differences of opinion between party general secretary Arun Jaitley and party president Rajnath Singh, he sought to downplay the same by claiming that there was nothing but differences of opinion between them and it need not be discussed with the media, being an internal affair of the party.  He also answered in the negative when questioned as to whether there is a proposal to admit Uma Bharti into the BJP. He also exuded the confidence that Anant Kumar, as in the past four occasions, will come out victorious from the Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency.
