Mangalore: Khairiya Shelter for Orphaned Community Girls Inaugurated

Shaikuna Sayyed K S Atakoya Tangal Kumbol inaugurated the Khairiya Shelter, an orphanage for poor girls of the community at Thokkottu under Khairiya Trust, on Thursday March 19. 

The Khairiya Trust was set up with the objective of taking care of poor and orphaned girls of the community.
 
Khairiya Trust chairman Haji S M Rasheed presided over the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Rasheed said that all facilities are being provided at the shelter to empower 75 poor and orphaned girls of the community.

He added that free education would be provided to all from Class I to degree in English medium besides religious and worldly knowledge. 

Rasheed said that talented students will be encouraged to pursue their interests.
 
Meanwhile, he also acknowledged the support of all the trustees in their endeavour.
 
Al Madeena Yatim Khana president P M Abbas Musliar, B A Group chairman B Ahmed Haji Mohideen, B Abdulla Kunhi Haji, District Wakf president Y Mohammed Kunhi Haji, Yenepoya Medical College chancellor Y Abdulla Kunhi, Khairiya Trust secretary Riyaz Bava, treasurer Haji B S Basheer, and Hyder Haji were present at the occasion.
 
M K Manjanady welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
