Sullia, Mar 19: The workshop on review of the syllabus of Yaksha Shikshana, a programme of Yakshagana education, was held at the block education centre here recently.

The event was organized by Karnataka Yakshagana Academy.

Renowned Tenku and Badaguthittu scholars like Hostota Manjunath Bhagavat, Prof M L Samaga, Murali Kadekkar, Mambady Subrahmanya Bhat, Kagarlu Vishweshwara Bhat, K Sadananda Aital, Gangadhar Bellare, Kamalaksha Achar and Venkatrama Bhat participated as resource persons in the workshop.

Prakash Moodittaya, state resource person, briefed the scope of the reviewed syllabus.

Pitambhara K, deputy coordination officer, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Chandrashekar Peralu, block co-ordination officer were present on the occasion.

Dr Poovappa Kaniyoor, president, Teachers Yakshagana Association welcomed the gathering. Shashidhar M J proposed vote of thanks.

Dr Sundar Kenaje, convener of the workshop, addressed the gathering.
