Mangalore: Factory Worker Dies while Cleaning Machine

Mangalore, Mar 20: A woman worker died after getting caught in a running machine in a factory located in Kutthar near Ullal in the afternoon of Thursday March 19.

The deceased has been identified as Jayanti (48), a resident of Derlakatte Belma. She was working in the factory since about a year.

It is said, she was cleaning the high power machine when her sari got caught in the belt of the machine, following which her body was dragged into the machine. She was admitted into a hospital in a serious condition, but did not survive. A case has been registered with Ullal police station in this connection.
