Mangalore: 'Maardani' Kannada Documentary to be Released on Mar 21

Mangalore, Mar 20: A function to release Kannada documentary, ‘Maardani’ will be held at the auditorium of Hotel Srinivas here on Saturday March 21 at 10.30 pm.

The documentary has been produced by the city-based Sameeksha Trust.

Renowned film director, producer and litterateur Nagatihalli Chandrashekar will release the documentary, which is based on the challenges faced by the HIV positive people.

Reshma G Ullal, managing trustee, Sameeksha Trust will preside over the function.

Krishna J Palemar, district in-charge minister, MLA Yogish Bhat and Ronald Colaco, non-resident businessman, will participate as the chief guests.

'Maardani', aims at throwing some light on the societal problems faced by the HIV affected people and also tries to some out with some solutions for the same to the extent possible.

The documentary helps to strengthen the self-confidence levels of the HIV- affected. The documentary is based on the life and achievements of Veenadhari, informed Reshma G Ullal, in a release.
