B'lore: Poll Code Violation - JD (S) Demands Action against Home Minister, Pejawar Swamiji

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Mar 20: JD (S) has demanded for the initiation of stern action against home minister Dr V S Acharya, Pejawar Math Swamiji and others who took part in the Hindu Samajotsav programmes held in Mangalore and here, considering them as political programmes organized for the benefit of the BJP.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday March 19, after filing written complaint with the state chief electoral officer, party spokesman Y S V Datta said, there is a provision to take punitive action against the concerned under the election-related laws.

"The conference held in the city in the name of 'Dharma Jagruti Sabhe' on March 7 was a pro-BJP campaigning meeting. Pejawar Swamiji and Rashtreeya Swayam Sevak Sangh Pracharak Su Ramanna had participated in this programme. In the Samajotsav held in Mangalore, home minister, state BJP president D V Sadanand Gowda, Coastal Development Authority president Nagaraj Shetty, minister Krishna Palemar, MLA Yogish Bhat etc had taken part. In both the above meetings, statements like 'Hindu Vote Bank' which is violative of the poll code were uttered. A statement issued by any one other than the candidate or political parties, can be considered violation of the poll code, he claimed.

As the activities and internal administration of the BJP are controlled by RSS, programmes being held by that outfit naturally should be considered pro-BJP, he analyzed. He also demanded the concerned to put their foot down and firmly decline permission for such programmes, without considering them as religious ones, with immediate affect.

When Christians meet every Sunday prayers are offered for the population of India, their leaders and for every upliftment of society. You are welcome to attend a service on a Sunday in any Church. These prayers are offered at the directive of each Diocese Head or Bishop. Nothing against anyone or any section of society is spoken during these services.

JD(S) and Congress think that being anti-Hindu is Secular. They think that Hindus do not see the vote bank politics played with minorities. Either all parties should stop vote-bank politics or it should be open to all. They can't criticize majority appeasement and carry on minority appeasement.

Mr Abhishek Mulky, it is anybodys guess as to why the Samajotsava was organised, that too little before the elections. Why your Swamijis are begging for votes in proxy? What are they so insecure about? In their scheme of things is there any place for power sharing of the sorts with the dalits and the lower caste people? The people who were not allowed to enter the houses of the Brahmins{VHP & RSS are predominantly upper- caste organisation) are now used as soldiers to carry out the hiddenagenda of the SanghParivar. To improve your knowledge, i would like you to know that the minorities go to churches/mosques on Sundays/Fridays to pray. Just visit these places once(i am sure you too will get converted) and see what they do. It is not a political gathering. Nobody tells us to vote for a particular candidate/party. I have seen the devotion at Sidhivinayak(Mumbai) and at Mahalaxmi too. Was this Samajotsava anywhere/anything to do with devotion or things like that. Who is stopping you from visiting temples and praying. Prayers will definitely change your outlook for life and your attitude towards your neighbour.

Mr. Abhishek, You are wrong not one time you are completly misguided person. pelase be informed that Christians on Sunday and and Muslims on friday get together for their prayers before the election code of conduct imposed, and in that get together there are no CM, Home minister or any political big wigs are not attending and if they attend they are not allowed to give speaches. It is welcomd for hindu's to get together, why at the time of election only. if we give the wright direction then everyone will take that direction.

There is absolutely no problem with Hindus getting together. It is the hindu vote bank politics that the BJP is pursuing - it is as despicable as the minority vote bank politics.

Well Said Abhishek .... Theese So Called Secularists are the people who devided the society as majorities, minorities & so on & kept them put of the socital mainstream. These are the people who linked terrorism with mislim community. no Muslim will feel bad if a terrorist is punished but theese pesudo secularists started playing political game saying talking against Terrorism will hurt the feelings of a minority community. This is the way they created minority Vote bank for thei favour.

My Dear Abhishek, bringing Hindu's is not at all communal. Let them come come together everyday, nobody will object. But, in this case during poll time. Don't you smell something fishy about it ??? That too under the banner of BJP!!! I again re-iterate, BJP is the political wing of Indian Terrorism. S. Shenoy.

Ahishekh, Hindus getting united is a good news! Anti National activities in the name of uniting Hidus is totally wrong! You have forgotten that India belongs to all religions! You always inspire hatred saying that India is for Hidu's. Better go to Primery School and learn the basics of Indian Constitution!

Muslims getting together every friday & christians getting together every sunday is secular. Hindus getting together once a year is communal..Hindus are getting united and all anti-national activities will be stopped. The best way for the so called minorities is to support the nation building cause rather than oppose it at the behest of few pesudo-secular parties.
