Udupi: Cong Leaders Spreading False Rumours: MLA Raghupathy Bhat

DHNS

Udupi, Mar 22: Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat alleged that Congress leaders from the undivided Dakshina Kannada are engaged in spreading false rumours regarding the Kaup incident and ruled out the accusations concerning the failure of the police department to manage the affairs.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, he said that the bravery of the police department should be lauded as they were capable of stabilising the burning situation and everything was normal within one-and-a-half-hours of the incident. Neither the police department nor the Home Minister is responsible for the incident and blaming them at the core of the issue sounds worthless. There is no point in the demand by the Congress leaders urging for the resignation of the Home Minister, he added.

KFD activists are responsible and stones were thrown from inside the Mosque. Police might have taken precautionary measures if they had any prior idea regarding this unexpected incident. Congress people are concerned only about the damages occurred to the minorities and never visited the Hindu people who sustained injuries in the attack. Congress is involved in vote bank politics to lure the minorities, he accused.

Bhat informed that an FIR has been registered alleging the indemnities and turmoil endured by the public. As many as 6 members belonging to Hindu community were injured in the incident—2 from Udupi and 4 from Kundapur. Vishwanath from Pethri has sustained severe injures in the conflict, he added.

The pre-poll preparations are in full swing as the party is intending to revamp its poll strategy right from the block level. District BJP Women Wing conventions will be held in all the five assembly constituencies of the district.

Udupi-Chikmagalur Election office of the party will be inaugurated on March 27 in the BJP office at Kadiyali. A media workshop will be organised for the BJP workers on March 25 and media coordinators of the party from Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga, Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur are taking part in the workshop. Congress is still in its primary phase of bringing out the list announcing the names of the contestants and this snail pace indicates the awkwardness of the Congress in countering the poll strategies of the BJP, Bhat opined.

CMC President Dinaker Shetty, Thingala Vikram Hegde, Katpadi Shankar Poojary, and others were present.

It may be noted that Bhat has been appointed as the spokesperson of the party for the Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency.

No one here is trying to malign Mr.Bhat, what everyone is trying to convey is that he is incapable, which proves the way he handled his own wifes murder mystery, still no one knows who killed her.  Politicians like Mr. Bhat or Mr. Acharaya has not left any stone unturned to make people of dakshina kannada shameful, not only recent incidents ,check recent past attack on churches in managalore,or attack on girls at a pub in managalore or vote based politics by creating such petty rifts between two communities and instead of feeling ashamed or embarassed they think they have achieved something great.

Managalore have you heard anything positive for you guys ,apart from ram sena or rss or bhajrang dal.... we need development ,more jobs, education, security ....not such hypocrite leaders.

Mr. Iqbal (Udupi/Dubai) and Mr. Abdual Rahaman Sulaiman (Riyadh/Euromarche), I have read your comments. It’s very funny too. Hindu outfit had the prior idea regarding this unexpected incident because of the anti social and uncivilised people who have created problem before. So, there is no surprise to guess or to have an idea about these types of shameful incidents. And one more thing, because of the stone throwing incident, the Hindu people who were in and around that area and also people on the way there have gathered together. It is not foolish as you have mentioned. General public has common sense and Hon’ble MLA Raghupathi Bhat is dignified person, and what he has said is right, correct, true, fact. His family or personal issues should not be made popular by others. No one has the right to speak one’s personal matters or family issues. Media has glorified this issue. If same incident takes place with us or you, and if other comments on that badly, will you people sit quite? Just think before blaming a person. Mr. Manu, Orissa, you can not interfere in the personal family issues of others. It is irrelevant. Court and police department will solve the case. Others need not to bother about this issue.

Dear sir: Stone throwing from the mosque was not true and this kind of incident should not have happened. Arresting of Muslims by the Police is absolutely wrong. Without any enquiry one sided action is illegal. I do not blame Dr. Acharaya, as he has only listened to his party members. Mr. Bhat has no moral value to comment as everyone knows about his wife's mysterious death. One day the truth will come out. Pastor E. W. Frank

The Kaup incident seems preplanned by Hindu Hardliners. How they know that the stone pelted from mosque. How a responsible Home Minister can make such irresponsible statement taht the first stone pelted from Mosque. Is the Home Minister was present at that time? He is quoting what his BJP party says. Why the police not arrested any of the Hindu? This is all lies and created by BJP for election propoganda. We should kick such kind of politicians.

I do agree with MLA of Udupi Shri Raghupathi Bhat. Neither the police department nor the Home Minister is responsible for the incident and blaming them at the core of the issue sounds worthless. There is no point in the demand by the Congress leaders urging for the resignation of the Home Minister. Congress and JD (S) are making this more political issue by supporting minority votes. But, this time Congress will not come to power as they have pre-determined set back at UP and Bihar, also in Karnataka. People who are having habit of throwing destructive comments on State Govt, BJP party and other Hindu organisations should think many times before giving any negative comments. The first stone was thrown from mosque. What was the necessity of throwing stone on Hindus? BJP party will get the majority of seats this time in the Parliament Elections both at Karnataka and in India too.
