Udupi: Ex-ZP President, Congress Leader Shankar Poojary to join BJP

Udupi, Mar 23: The rumours that had been in the air since about a month have turned to be true. Ex-president of the local zilla panchayat and Congress leader B N Shankar Poojary is all set to officially join the BJP on Friday, March 27.

At the inaugural of the election office scheduled for that day, BJP candidate from the constituency and state BJP president D V Sadanand Gowda will accord a fitting welcome to Poojary, it is learnt.

Shankar Poojary has also decided to tender his resignation to his zilla panchayat membership from Perdoor constituency. Poojary says, several taluk panchayat members, gram panchayat presidents and members will follow him into the BJP.

    If a person is not loyal to the party which has given this position, how come he will be loyal to the BJP.
