Udupi: State Bank of Mysore Cricket Team bags South Star Trophy

State Bank of Mysore (SBM) cricket team bagged the  state level flood-lit Ambalapady South Star trophy here on Sunday March 22 night.
 
SBM cricket team defeated Alva's in the final match, held on Sunday March 22 night, in twenty-20 flood-lit state level cricket tournament, organized by South Star Cricketers, Ambalapady, here.  SBM team bagged the trophy and Rs 1.25 lac cash reward.

Runner Up Team - Alva's Moodabidri

Alva's chose to bat first in the final match held on Sunday night here and scored 116 runs for 8 wickets in 20 over, while SBM scored 117 in 12 overs without the loss of any wickets.  SBM team included both Ranji players Tilak Naidu and Manjunat who scored 70 and 47 respectively and remained  not out. 
 
State home and district in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya presented the cash reward and trophy to the winning team.
 
MLAs Raghupati Bhat and Lalaji R Mendon, Ambalapady Sri Janardhan Mahakali temple managing trustee Dr Vijay Ballal, Udupi Urban Development Authority chairman Sudhakar Shetty and Ambalapady South Star president Uday Kumar Shetty were present.
