Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, Mar 24: Late night on Monday March 22, miscreants torched a footwear shop and a hardware shop located at Market Road here. Both the shops suffered partial damages.

The policemen who are on patrol duty noticed the fire and doused it before it could do further damage. The residents link this incident to the torching of two petty shops at Thumbe village a week back, belonging to a particular community. Both the shops now targeted too belong to people from a particular community, they point out.

The accused are yet to be traced in the earlier incident. So far, there have been no clues about their identity even in this incident. Bantwal town policemen have registered a case and investigating.
