Bantwal: Surendra Bantwal Remanded to Judicial Custody

Bantwal, Mar 24: Photographer and Hindu activist Surendra Bantwal, who was arrested by the Bantwal police in connection with certain cases against him, was produced in the local court on Monday March 23. He was remanded to a day's judicial custody by the court.

It may be recalled that Surendra Bantwal's car was targeted by some miscreants who pelted stones at him a few days ago. In that case, a local resident named Arif from Kelaginapete area has been arrested.

Surendra Bantwal has been accused of forcing shops to close in the town on the next day of the incident by way of protest against the previous day's incident, and assaulting two shopkeepers from a particular community at Bantwal Baddakatte, for their reluctance to oblige him.
