Mangalore, Mar 24: BJP District Committee president Monappa Bhandary clarified that the party does not have before it, any proposal to hold a dialogue with either Swabhimani Vedike leaders or its founder Urimajal Ram Bhat.

"The BJP will work as a single, organized unit. It is not bothered about the candidates fielded by different organizations and outfits. There is no question of holding discussions with the Vedike leaders," he clarified.  In reply to a question about the prospects of suspending or expulsion of Bhat from the party, he said a decision in this respect has to be taken by the state committee and that the district committee has not decided anything on this issue.

He opined that the Vedike does not have a strong presence in the district and that Basanaguda Yatnal who has supported the Vedike is not a widely known figure.
