Bangalore: Advocates Allegedly Beat up Man in Court Premises

Bangalore, Mar 24: A person named Rajanna filed a complaint in Ulsoor Gate police station here on Monday March 23, alleging that he was manhandled by advocates in the city court premises.

Rajanna explained that his brother and an advocate named Rajanna had an old rivalry. The advocate had filed a case of assault and life threat against Rajanna's brother in Jayanagar court. They obtained anticipatory bail and had visited the court on Monday to obtain regular bail.

He said, on citing him in the court premises, advocate Rajanna grew angry. He started a quarrel with the duo and soon, was joined by several other advocates who beat up Rajanna, tore his clothes and chased him away from the court premises, he claimed.

He directly went to Ulsoorgate police station, where the policemen directed him to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
