Tumkur: ‘Cyanide’ Mallika Sentenced to Death

Tumkur, Mar 25: A court in Tumkur on Tuesday sentenced a woman, who has come to be known as “Cyanide Mallika,” to death.

N.S. Kempanna Goudar, judge, found her guilty of murdering Muniyamma on December 15, 2007 in a lodge attached to the Sri Yediyuru Siddalingeswara Temple in Tumkur district. Mallika befriended Muniyamma and took her on a pilgrimage.

They were staying together in the lodge, when she administered cyanide and killed Muniyamma. Mr. Goudar sentenced Mallika to death in this case.
