Bellary: Leniency in Enforcing Code of Conduct: Five Officials Transferred

Bellary, Mar 26: The Central Election Commission, which took the complaints made by opposition parties in the state that several government officials posted in Bellary district are working in favour of the party in power, has transferred five officials including additional superintendent of police(ASP) and the City Corporation commissioner.

In place of transferred ASP Ashok Kariya, D M Krishnan Raju has been posted. Bellary City Corporation commissioner Shivaraj has been replaced by Gurulingappa. Koodligi deputy superintendent of police H Y Turayi has been shown the door. His place has been taken over by M L Madhuraveena. Bellary Kaul Bazar police inspector Vidyadhar Dattaram Bykerikar and Sandur circle inspector Ramakant Yallappa Kullar have been replaced by R Nagaraj and Shamid Pasha respectively, informed state Chief Election Commissioner M N Vidyashankar.

However, the election commissioner did not come out with any specific charges against each of these officials.
