Udupi: BJP introduces Blogs and SMS for Election Campaign

Udupi, Mar 27: The BJP has decided to go high-tech and by using two recent technologies for its  publicity campaign, will be accessing  the public through blogs and SMS, said V Dhananjay Kumar, spokesperson, State BJP, speaking at a  press conference held in the town on Wednesday March 25.

"The party wants to communicate with as many  people as possible, by making use of information technologies that are widely used by a large number of peopl," he explained.

The public can chat with Lal Krishna Advani directly through the email. Since Advani is having a separate blog, the users of the blog can interact with  him directly, he said.

Apart from the above, the campaigning for the election will also take place through the cell phones and around 4,000 crore short message service (SMS) will be established and circulated in the country in connection with this election, he elaborated.

The party has also established a website with the domain name, 'Karnatakabjp.org' giving away the details and photographs of the all the candidates and update of the press briefings and speeches of central leaders. This helps the public to know more about the candidate, he explained.

Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kumar, minister, said that the name of the party itself suggests that each vote of the people is precious for it.

Shankar Poojary Katapady and Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde were present on the occasion.
